Once your application is approved, your official Certificado de Seguro is generated in Spanish (the language every consulate requires) within 24 to 48 hours.
I also send you an English version of the same document — so you can read exactly what's covered, verify the details, and hand the Spanish one to your consulate with confidence.

Yes. You don't need a NIE or a Spanish bank account to set up your policy before you move.
I set up the policy using your passport number, and Sanitas accepts international payment methods — so your certificate is ready before your embassy appointment, not after. When you later have your NIE and Spanish account, we simply update the details.
Spanish consulates explicitly reject travel insurance for long-term residency applications. Travel policies are designed for short trips — they only cover emergencies and disruptions, not real healthcare.
Visa regulations require comprehensive cover: preventive care, specialist consultations, diagnostic testing, chronic condition management, and elective procedures inside Spain. Only a proper private health insurance policy qualifies.
